Asgaard was once the home of well-known artist, writer, adventurer and political activist Rockwell Kent. Today it is a diversified family farm with a goat dairy and creamery at its core, where award-winning farmstead cheeses have been made since 2008. Complementing Asgaard’s goat husbandry are grass-fed and grass-finished beef together with pastured pork, poultry and eggs. These products plus other local foods and goods may be purchased at the farm store Thursday and Friday 2pm to 6pm and Saturday 10am to 2pm. Chazy Orchards is the largest McIntosh apple orchard in Northern New York. Stop by and visit our farm market, bakery and gift shop, open September to December.
Open from March to December, this family farm produces a variety of fruits and vegetables for self-picking and on-site sales: asparagus, strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, vegetables, sweet corn, apples, pumpkins, squash, and Christmas trees. Maple, Easter, and Halloween activities are also available, as well as outdoor mini-barn rentals for children's parties. A barn with animals, a playground, and tractor rides are also available. Visit the shop where you'll find homemade pastries and preserves as well as several local products.
Our maple farm, located on the edge of the Adirondack Mountains, has been family owned and operated by the Parkers since 1889.
