Located in the Pontiac, an hour’s drive from Gatineau–Ottawa, Little Red Wagon Winery offers four wines made from northern grape varieties, grown on site and also our 2 "Piquettes" ! You are invited to discover the winery and taste its products as well as small plates to compliment the wine. You can also enjoy the works of local artists displayed in the reception room, which accommodates up to 75 guests. The winery also hosts live concert and dinner nights which can be booked on the website.
Sample Mad River Distillers spirits, learn about distilling, shop for cocktail accessories, mixers and books, buy Vermont-made spirits, and have a cocktail Thursday through Sunday. The tasting room offers daily cocktail specials, including Mule Thursdays, Daiquiri Fridays, Sour Saturdays, and Bloody Mary Sundays. The distillery is located in Warren, VT and schedules tours by appointment.
A family owned and diversified farm and farm market in South Hero with 47 varieties of apples. Along with the eating apples, visitors can enjoy homemade cider donuts, apple crisp, and freshly pressed sweet cider. The Farm Market offers great local products including Vermont maple syrup and honey, jams and jellies, yellow eye beans, Cabot cheese, a wide selection of cookbooks, fresh vegetables and fruit in season, pumpkins and gourds in the fall. Kids can enjoy themselves in the large picnic and play area. Scheduled wagon rides and orchard tours are available for small groups. Pick Your Own is available in season, usually from after Labor Day through October.
The Leon Courville Vineyard is located on an exceptional rural setting with stunning views of the Eastern Townships. With its century-old sugar shack, the vineyard was planted on gravel and clay hillsides overlooking the Lake Brome. A beautiful winery, with the most modern equipment, overlooking the vineyard. Our vineyard produces red and white wines, aged wines in oak barrels, late harvest and ice wines as well as sparkling wines. Since opening in 2005, the wines produced at the Léon Courville vineyard won several awards and has attracted many fans and connoisseurs.
The charming brewery, which gets its namesake from the nearby Lost Villages that were flooded out during the construction of the St. Lawrence Seaway and power project, offers craft beer on tap, and in cans, and also provides patrons with plenty of room to sip their suds indoors, or out on the patio.
We are a small farm based nanobrewery located in the heart of the Champlain Valley agricultural district. We brew a variety of small batch artisan ales and sodas, and we host local food trucks and live music all summer long. We have ample outdoor seating and are kid and dog friendly.
Our maple farm, located on the edge of the Adirondack Mountains, has been family owned and operated by the Parkers since 1889. Five generations of Parkers have worked hard to provide quality maple products. We are open all year round with mail order to provide you with prompt, quality service with a family farm touch. Founded in 1961, Upper Canada Village is one of the largest living-history sites in Canada. Here, we endeavor to depict life in a rural English Canadian setting during the year 1866. Featured are over forty historical buildings, many moved here prior to flooding of the “Lost Villages” during the St. Lawrence Seaway development project. These include homes, functioning mills and trades workshops.
We are a family owned winery offering a large selection of red and white estate wine produced from our cold hardy grapes grown on site. We sell delicious wood fired maple syrup made each spring in our sugar house. We also offer a variety of locally produced craft beer and charcuterie boxes for your enjoyment while taking in the awesome views of Lake Champlain, Burlington and the green mountains of Vermont.
The monks of the Saint-Benoit-du-Lac abbey have been making cheeses since 1943. With audacity, they were able to create a first blue cheese named “Ermite”. Over time, their know-how has enabled them to develop a dozen cheeses. Made from whole milk, without modified milk ingredients, their method allows them to produce lactose-free cheese. They are also nut-free and gluten-free. Many prizes have been awarded. In 2021, no less than 4 cheeses received an award at various international competitions. In 2019, the Fontina cheese won a "Caseus" prize in Quebec. At the 2016-2017 World Cheese Awards, the smoked blue cheese was awarded a bronze medal. At the 2015 and 2017 British Empire Show, Frère Jacques cheese received second prize. Find them all.
The Orpailleur vineyard, a pioneer in its industry in Quebec, established its first vines in 1982 in the beautiful valley of Dunham. Since then, Charles-Henri de Coussergues, wine-maker and co-owner, is constantly pushing his limits to satisfy the wine industry in Quebec. The Orpailleur winery offers thirteen wines and is proud of the increasing national and international recognition from numerous experts. The vineyard has been awarded more than 140 gold and silver medals in various international competitions, a testimony evoking the care that the vineyard puts into the development of its wines. These wines are available in several branches of the SAQ.
Snow Farm Vineyard began as a dream on the West Shore of South Hero, Vermont. In an effort to preserve Vermont's agricultural land in the face of rapid development by providing an alternative for farmers, grapes were planted in the fields. The microclimate of the Champlain Islands, permits the growth of cooler climate, vinifera grapes like Riesling. In addition to cold hardy french hybrid varieties like, Vidal Blanc, Seyval Blanc, Leon Millot and Baco Noir. Snow Farm also produces an ice wine, a product that cannot be made in many other places around the world. Snow Farm Vineyard is Vermont’s first commercial vineyard & winery producing craft wines from the heart of the Champlain Islands since 1997. The Snow Farm Inn is the historic 1820s farmhouse by the lake. There are gardens with historic Harry Barber stone castles, wedding ceremony locations and vineyard views in the field across the road.
